 Burkina Faso has 26 ethnical groups.

The main are:

Mossi: Are very different, they have a rich class who have the government, and a class that includes blacksmiths, farmers, weavers, merchants, etc. They live in the center of the country in the area of the Volta River.

Fulani: They live in eastern Burkina, straddling this country and Niger. Mainly nomads, they raise cows, sheep, and goats. However, many Fulani has abandoned their way of life and have become sedentary or semi-nomadic; during the rainy season they cultivate and live in villages; during the dry season, they graze.
